Title:
Symbiotic Indoor Environments: Researching Interactions between Plants, Humans and the Indoor Microbiome
The webinar will present my current research at the intersection of human health, plants, microbiomes, and the built environment, with a particular focus on experimental studies conducted in indoor settings.
GREENIN Micro Network Plus is an interdisciplinary platform aimed at building a multidisciplinary indoor greening community. Its mission is to advance research on how indoor plants, in combination with building design, materials, and human behaviours, can improve indoor air quality, thermal comfort, humidity control, and overall health in indoor environments. The initiative is funded by UK Research & Innovation under the Healthy Nations Call, led by the University of Surrey’s Global Centre for Clean Air Research (GCARE), in collaboration with UKCEH and the universities of Bath, Oxford, York, and Cranfield.
